Simone has been involved with KIDSCO®Khandallah/Ngaio since
2005, initially as a Programme Supervisor in the Holiday
Programmes. Recently she have been appointed to the
position of Programme Coordinator, responsible for planning
programmes and coordinating the team and activities in both
STOPOVER® After School and HANGOUT WITH US Holiday
programmes.
Of German descent, Simone is a qualified Educator
with 9 years experience working with children between the ages of 3
and 16 years. Her main roles were teaching in a preschool
setting, and later as a social worker with children from
dysfunctional backgrounds. Simone is a mother of
an 8 year old and has lived in Wellington as a NZ resident
since 2004.
She is enthusiastic about the future of
KIDSCO®. Simone is totally committed to innovating
and improving our programme so that we truly meet the needs of
the children in our care.

After school children are tired, hungry and
ready to rest, or maybe ready to run off some pent up
energy! We make sure that all children's needs are
met. We have developed our Activity Stations to ensure that
there is always an activity in progress that they can
join.
Closely monitoring smaller children who are
new to the programme, we know that they are dealing with a lot of
new changes so we make sure that they are welcomed and connected up
with new friends.
In our programme's Homework Club we have
introduced a method of providing children with worksheets to drill
basic facts when they don't have their school homework with
them. You as a parent will choose what you would like your
child to do: no homework; school homework only; worksheet if no
school homework assigned. Discuss this with us in the
first week of enrolment.

Holiday time is downtime for kids. Time
to recharge the batteries after a busy term. It's a long day
and you want to know your children are going to be well cared for
and engaged and happy so that you don't have to worry about
them. At KIDSCO we know what this feels like. Our
programmes are desiged and/or checked by experienced planners
who are also mums. We've had the same
worries as you do. Our staff focus on ensuring that all
children are engaged in fun activities and connecting with friends.
When you collect them they will be happy after a great day. We're
